I see Bey dropped another surprise song on us over the weekend; a remix version of her song “flawless” with none other than Nicki Minaj. I listen to the song and of course it’s hot – no doubt. It’s Bey, right? But what I find humorous, is all the attention given to and speculation made about this line in the song spit out by Bey – “We escalate, up in this b*itch like elevators; Of course sometimes sh*it goes down when there’s a billion dollars on an elevator” (a reference to Jay Z and Solange squabble on the elevator).
Y’all, all she is saying is super rich folks have issues too and are not above something jumping off. Marriage is not without its challenges for this couple or anyone else. To think otherwise is naive. Is there a split in the air? I don’t know (shrugs), but I hope not.
You have to give it to them though, they are still flawless! Didn’t you hear that cash register in the background after that verse? That’s the hook I take away from the song. Oh, and of course, “I woke up like this.” ~Chante XOXO
